Cable Beach is probably a more economical place to spend your time (and money) than either Nassau or Paradise Island. It's a great place to try out water sports like water skiing, jet skiing and parasailing, as there are many resorts offering these activities on the beachfront.
On Paradise Island, the Atlantis Resort and Casino is an attraction itself, with countless places to shop and eat, aquariums, a cabaret theater and a casino. The Versailles Gardens and Cloisters will have you feeling like you're in France and not The Bahamas. It's one of only four cloisters that have ever been removed from French soil to where it now presides at the top of the gardens.
