Many of the larger hotels on both islands offer windsurfing and water-skiing. Both sports require good balance, but the typically calm water off the shores of Bahama's beaches make it an excellent place to try them out. Jet skis for one or two people can be rented on both islands at major hotels and will run you around $50 for half an hour. The north side of Grand Bahama Island is a great place to paddle a sea kayak, through creeks and along shallow ocean water near the shore. Tours are available, or you can rent equipment and go it alone.
